Entries Now Open for the D9212 Legacy Awards: A Historic Call to Celebrate 13 Years of Service
NAIROBI KENYA, – The Rotary and Rotaract clubs of Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Sudan are invited to mark a pivotal moment in their shared history. Submissions are officially open for the D9212 Legacy Awards, the culminating and most distinguished awards program for District 9212. This unique initiative offers a final opportunity to honour the remarkable 13-year journey of service, fellowship, and profound impact achieved across the district.
For over a decade, the clubs of District 9212 have stood as beacons of hope and catalysts for change, spearheading projects that have built clinics, educated children, provided clean water, and fostered peace. As the district prepares for its next chapter, these awards will pause to recognise the clubs, projects, and individuals who have made this extraordinary legacy possible.
District Governor Wairimu Njage shared her vision for this historic celebration: "This is a family album of our collective service. Each entry is a page in the final, beautiful chapter of District 9212. We are looking back with immense pride at the mountains we have climbed together and looking forward with great hope to the new horizons our clubs will explore. I encourage every single club to be a part of this historic celebration by sharing the stories that define your contribution to our shared legacy."

"We have designed these awards to be a true reflection of the diversity and passion within our district," stated Carole Kimutai, District Awards Chair. "The judging panel will not only be looking at the scale of a project but at its heart, its creativity, and its transformative impact on a community. Whether you are a small club with a powerful local initiative or a large club with a multi-year grant project, your story is important. We are eager to see the resourcefulness and dedication from every corner of Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Sudan."
This is the district's final opportunity to capture its spirit. Let us unite to celebrate the leaders, volunteers, and communities served, making this a testament to 13 years of "Service Above Self."
