Rotary District 9212 will hold a special assembly in November 2025. The Special Assembly will give Rotarians and Rotaractors in District 9212 an opportunity to grant final approval for the creation of District 9215 and District 9216.

At its meeting in October, the District Executive Committee will approve notice of a Special Assembly, which is scheduled for November.

The Special Assembly will give Rotarians and Rotaractors in District 9212 an opportunity to grant final approval for the creation of District 9215 and District 9216. During its meeting in August the District Executive Committee approved the boundaries of the two new Districts and placement of Interact, Rotaract and Rotary Clubs.

In order to respond to any questions that Rotarians and Rotaractors have about the Redistricting, the District 9212 Redistricting Board will held town hall meetings from September 16-18. During these sessions, the Board provided a step-by-step roadmap. After the town hall meetings, The Redistricting Board will submit the final boundaries and placement of clubs to Rotary International.

At the same time, the Redistricting Board seeks to engage clusters of clubs and individual clubs to understand the roadmap toward having two Districts. The board is  encouraging all Unite for Good Presidents to reach out via the email address: redistricting@rotary9212.org to arrange for a date and time for a presentation either in person or virtually.

Currently, Rotary District 9212 covers four countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Eritrea. District 9212 currently comprises 136 Interact Clubs. It also has 129 Rotaract clubs with a total of 2,380 Rotaractors and 154 Rotary Clubs with 3,677 Rotarians

The new Rotary District 9215 will comprise of Western Kenya, the Rift Valley, Western Nairobi and South Sudan. It will have 51 Rotaract clubs with 1,005 members and 71 Rotary Clubs with 1,819 members.

District 9216 will include Ethiopia, Eritrea, Central Kenya, Eastern Kenya, Eastern Nairobi and the Kenyan Coast. It will have78 Rotaract clubs with a total of 1,375 members and 83 Rotary Clubs with 1,853 members.

Following approval by the Rotary International Board in October 2024, the two new Districts will formally come into existence on July 1, 2026.
