The Rotary Club of Karen recently held a free dental camp on 22nd and 23rd April at Gataka village, a low-income settlement near Karen town. The event was in partnership with RCC Gataka and Unilever via their brand - Pepsodent. We had over 400 people attending and the program involved a dental talk, a health check where Blood Pressure, Sugar levels, weight, BMI were measured and finally a dental check-up by two dentists.
It was really sad to see so many young children below 10 years having serious dental issues and we referred them to a close-by government hospital - Saitoti Health Center which has a well-equipped dental unit with affordable prices.
