In July 2025, the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs in Embu came together for a remarkable medical outreach in Ngorika town, hosted by Baraka Roses. The initiative brought essential health services directly to the community, showcasing the power of teamwork and commitment to improving lives.
A Day of Healing, Giftings
The medical camp offered a wide array of services, including treatments for respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, various soft tissue injuries and gifting of thirty expectant mothers. Patients also had access to eye and dental check-ups, laboratory services, gynecological services and vital health education on topics like family planning and mental wellness. The outreach was not just about treatment; it was a celebration of community spirit and collaboration.
Inspiring Health Talks
One of the highlights of the camp was the instrumental health talks led by President John Mwangi from Rotaract Club of Bahati, Nakuru. His engaging talk left a lasting impact on attendees, empowering them with knowledge about vital health issues. Participants appreciated the insights shared, which helped demystify various health topics and encouraged proactive health management.
Voices of Gratitude
Testimonials from participants reflected the success of the initiative. Many expressed heartfelt thanks for the care they received. One patient mentioned the relief of receiving compression stockings for her varicose veins, while another found the health talks enlightening and appreciated the focus on education. Such feedback underscores the importance of community health initiatives and the difference they can make in individual lives.
A Commitment to Sustainability
This medical outreach was more than a one-time event; it aimed to create lasting change in the community. The collaborative effort involved various partners, including local organizations and healthcare providers, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
