Ahead of their national exams, learners of Lower Kabete Primary School and Githurai 44 Primary School received mathematical sets from the Rotary Club of Nairobi Peponi and the Rotractor Club of UON Lower Kabete campus.
Under Rotary’s Pillar of Basic Education and Literacy, the Rotary Club of Nairobi Peponi along with its Rotractor Club of UON Lower Kabete campus spearheaded donation of 1,078 mathematical  sets to learners of Lower Kabete Primary School and Githurai 44 Primary School ahead of national exams. 

The donation was timed to coincide with their  exams. The initiative was based on the understanding that mathematics is one of the important subjects not only for academic or technical and vocational training progress but to a large degree also a foundation of life skills.

Each set included a compass, protractor, ruler, set square, lettering stencil were donated to the learners during the event that was graced by the presence of  Assistant Governor  Wambui Karanja. The club also used  this opportunity to donate  a variety of Story books and sanitary towels.
