Coast Region clubs receives donation of the Personal protective equipment from Rotary Club of Napoli Posillipo Italian
 
 
The Rotary Club of Malindi, last month distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Malindi Health Centre.  The donation consisting of over 75 boxes of disposable coveralls, 1 box of protective boots, 11 boxes of disposable shoes, and 16 boxes of disposable gowns was a donation from the Rotary Club of Napoli Posillipo, Italy to help curb the spread of Coronavirus in hospitals.

Speaking during the handing over at the Malindi general hospital RC Malindi president Conrad Masinde applauded RC Napoli Posillipo for their contribution towards fighting the pandemic and urged the health officers to make good use of the PPEs. "The PPEs will protect both health workers and patients from the killer virus", said Masinde.
 
The donation from RC Napoli Posillipo was part of a larger consignment they shipped for the coastal region Rotary clubs in Kenya. The Rotary Club of Malindi, received the container of the PPEs which arrived in Malindi on the 20th of January 2022 made up of a total of 577 pieces of PPEs  to help curb the spread of Coronavirus in hospitals.
The Rotary Club of Lamu received a total of 75 boxes of the PPEs consisting of 60 boxes of coveralls, 2 boxes of protective boots, 10 boxes of disposable shoes and 3 boxes of disposable gowns. The Rotary Clubs of Mombasa, Kwale, Taita Taveta,  Kitui and Makueni received a total of 399 PPE boxes which were divided amongst them.
