The Rotary Club of Athi River intends to develop a sustainable framework to address economic empowerment for caregivers and access to occupational therapy in Athi River. This will be the next phase of a two-year partnership with NOWEZA Foundation.

As the Maternal and Child Health month came to a close in August, the club donated 420 packs of diapers benefiting 137 children living with cerebral palsy in partnership with the NOWEZA Foundation, under their "Diaper for a Smile" initiative.

The donation included generous support from Kim Fay, Kimberly-Clark and Softcare. This marks the second consecutive year of collaboration with NOWEZA to support children with special needs in the Athi River area. The club also conducted a needs assessment through discussions with the NOWEZA Founder and interviews with caregivers.

`Together, we continue to create smiles and restore dignity—one child at a time,’’ the Club’s President said.
