On behalf of the entire team at the District Governor Times, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome our friends from Kenya, South Sudan, and around the world to the 98th District Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as we share with our special conference edition newsletter.
This year is particularly special as we have been privileged to serve under the inspiring leadership of women in Rotary. We were honored to host the first female Rotary International President, Jennifer Jones, and our own District 9212 is led by the first female governor, Azeb Asrat. With more women engaged in Rotary affairs than ever before, we are proud to campaign for Rotary awareness, engage in projects that change our communities, and create alliances that build our purpose to serve and reach the most vulnerable. As we have prioritized the public relations and awareness of Rotary under the banner of Imagine Rotary, I am immensely proud of the editorial team of the District Governor Times. With over 5000 readers monthly, our newsletter has taken the standard of storytelling to a new level, delivering enlightenment, inspiration, creativity, and execution of a quality that is unmatched. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank the entire team for their dedication and commitment to delivering our newsletters to you.

As you enjoy the rest of the conference, I urge you to take the opportunity to network, build partnerships, and celebrate who we are as Rotarians. Let us inspire others to join our great organization and help us build a better world one project at a time. Take in the beauty and culture of Addis Ababa, bask in the sunshine, and enjoy your stay to the fullest.
